Who we are

James Kaye

James is an experienced digital product manager and software developer who is passionate about preparing young people for the challenges that they will face in a modernising and unpredictable global economy. James had previously assisted organisations in utilizing technology to grow and modernise across many industries including video games publishers, clinical psychology, sustainable recycling, outdoor events and agricultural societies. 

James believes in a school-led approach to the development of the platform and programs, and has worked with the World Class Schools Quality Mark charity along with leaders from hundreds of World Class Schools to ensure that BeWorldClass provides the best possible outcomes for pupils and school staff.

Charlie Jenkinson

Charlie has a deep understanding of excellence in education having worked with leading schools in all six continents. His focus on the holistic development of students and instilling a culture of purpose within schools has led him to work with, and deliver workshops for, schools and universities around the world. He has developed strong local and global partnerships and has been heavily involved in several cross-sector partnerships.

Charlie served as Chief Strategy Officer for the World Leading Schools Association, a global organization committed to social and global mobility and innovation in education. He was Vice-Chair of The Langley Academy governing body from 2015-2018. He also commits his time to developing accessible personal development and global education programs for students around the world. Charlie consults for schools wanting to leverage the power of networks as well as EdTech companies looking to drive change in education.

Lawrence Wortman

Lawrence is an experienced Technical – Delivery Lead, Programme Manager and Senior Project Manager with a strong track record of successful delivery across the UK Banking finance sector. He has extensive experience of successfully managing complex IT and business change from start to finish for major brands including Lloyds Banking Group; Scottish Widows; and Nationwide Building Society.

Miranda Perry

Miranda Perry is an experienced education consultant and school improvement adviser. She worked as a lead inspector for Ofsted, and leads research projects into schools for government departments, research agencies, such as Oxford University and UCL, and national bodies, such as the Medical Research Council, and the Big Lottery Fund.
