BeWorldClass for Special Schools

Developing the characteristics young people need to thrive in a global economy

How it works

BeWorldClass an easy to use continuous online program, that supports the development of characteristics of students individually, and across a whole cohort. Accessible by students at any stage and year group.

We have a primary schools framework and a secondary schools framework. Special school students get access to both so that they can be supported at any stage.

Benefits for Special Schools

Pupils with special educational needs can often struggle to express their unique abilities and strengths. BeWorldClass provides them with a bespoke framework to discover and articulate their personal skills and characteristics.

By working with our schools and industry partners, we have identified the characteristics that are most essential for students to succeed in the global economy.

Growing skills and confidence

Parents of pupils with special educational needs are highly focused on schools nurturing their children’s abilities, competencies, and personal qualities. These are instrumental in preparing them for a future beyond the school environment, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle life’s challenges.

Consistent Learning Record

The platform allows students to use the same account through all stages of education, keeping a record of achievement and development throughout their time at school, which is particularly valuable in a special school context where progress may be non-linear or different from typical benchmarks.

Evidence for EHCP

BeWorldClass offers a way to recognise, assess, and celebrate the development of students’ soft skills and characteristics, which can provide valuable evidence to support an EHCP. The platform’s student-centric approach could demonstrate a commitment to world-class education standards, which might be beneficial in the EHCP review process.

Transition Preparedness

The platform helps students present themselves professionally and develop the skills and competencies that are increasingly important in the job market. Students can create digital portfolios and credentials to showcase their skills, and they can easily share their achievements on LinkedIn

Why BeWorldClass?

Our framework was devised and trialled by our schools, their teachers and pupils, primary, secondary, special and international. Our processes have been devised and trialled in a totally school-led way, by some of the best schools in the world, our current accredited World Class schools.

This platform is ground breaking and unique; there is not a process or app anywhere like this nationally or internationally.

Each subscribed school is entitled to one-on-one screen-share training sessions on how to set up and use BeWorldClass.

Each characteristic within the 6 BeWorldClass areas comes with a lesson plan to help lead class discussions and thinking around how students can prove that they have the characteristic.

A library of support and training videos for teachers and students. Including videos on setup, student usage, and teacher marking.
